Node Hosting Terms

Version 1.0.0 · Effective 21 September 2026

Prepaid monthly. Cancel any time. No refunds for unused days. The node stays up until the paid period ends.

1. Service

BitcoinAPI.io provides a dedicated Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) or Bitcoin SV (BSV) node, with RPC access (username and password). Provisioning lead time is typically 2–3 business days after payment. Region (EU, Singapore, or North America) is a preference; we place the server where capacity exists.

2. Plans

  • BTC or BCH pruned: US$50 / month.
  • BTC or BCH full (archival): US$500 / month.
  • BSV pruned: US$500 / month.
  • BSV full: US$1,200 first invoice (includes US$450 setup), then US$750 / month. Included disk up to 20 TB; beyond that the node may prune unless extra storage is purchased.

3. Billing and cancellation

You pay a month in advance via PayPal subscription. You may cancel at any time. There are no refunds. After cancel, the node remains available until the end of the prepaid period, then we decommission it. Cancelling before the node is provisioned stops provisioning; still no refund.

4. SLA

We target 99.9% host uptime for the virtual or dedicated server. Falling behind chain tip (sync lag, IBD, reindex, or a restart during a busy network) is not covered by the SLA. Restarts of bitcoind while the network is busy can take several hours to catch up.

5. RPC security

RPC is exposed on a public IP with a username and password. You are responsible for protecting those credentials. Do not share them. We may rotate credentials if we believe they are compromised.

6. Configuration

You may request changes to fees, peers, and other non-consensus bitcoin.conf options. Consensus rules are not customer-editable. Self-serve config and restart from the dashboard is not in the initial service; ask support.

7. Acceptable use

No illegal activity, no abuse of the node or network, no attempting to access other customers' machines. We may suspend a node for abuse or legal process.

8. Your data

Wallet keys are yours if you use the node as a wallet (we recommend you do not store significant funds on a hosted hot wallet). We are not a custodian.
